Holley 2300 carb on F600--will a 2100 fit

My off road 1969 needs a new carb. Has the 2 barrel Holley 2300. I see several 2100 knockoffs on ebay for less than $100. Will it bolt in place of the 2300? I don't need the CFM, but a good steady idle. (bucket truck).

I'd do it. 2bbl is a 2bbl.... 4 bolt, two hole intake mount right? Big thing might be a kickdown linkage mount if it's an automatic. Manual would be a nonissue.

The Autolite 2100, and the Holley 2300 2bbl carbs have the same bolt pattern, and can use the same air cleaner. The main thing is getting one with the correct throttle arm for your truck. Don't know how good the knockoff 2100's are, they came into play as good re-buildable Autolite's are getting hard to find. The Holley 2300 has a lot more adjustability, you can change accelerator pump cams to dial out any bogs, with the 2100 you can't change that. If you don't need to use your truck for a little bit you can have a reputable re-builder make the 2300 good as new.

I have a ford 289 engine , Automatic on a Mustang . I have a Holley 2 barrel 0-4412s 500 CFM with a 50CC Accelerator pump. What I like is it does get on the small block engine with the factory manifold. The engine does not starve for fuel but instead keeps up with the performance that is required for the engine. If you need to know what Holley to use on your engine Auto Zone will look it up and tell you. they use Holley's some times as a replacement /carburetor for engines.

Worked on several F-600's 68-77 vintage, most that had MD 330 engines had 2100 Autolites, HD 330 and 361's had 2300 Holley's.
Biggest difference is the governor setup, Autolites had a governor mounted under the carb, Holley had the governor built into the carb and was controlled by the distributor.

Operating one without a governor is a bit risky, when working off road in lower gears it's easy to over rev one and cause engine damage.
