1977 Kubota L185DT Lift ??

There are two levers on the right side of my seat connected to the 3-point hitch lift. The long one is in my Operator's Manual and both lifts and drops the hitch. I don't know what the short lever does, and it's not in the manual. Maybe someone here knows.

Also, in the photo below, there is an adjustable length connecting rod I am pointing to. It's hard to see, but there are two red arrows in the photo. One arrow is pointing to the end of the rod I'm pointing at. At this end is a pin that can be pulled out, (with a little help). The other arrow is pointing to a bracket. Just below the red Arrow is a hole (behind the lifting arm). The end of the adjustable rod with the pin, lines up perfectly with the hole in the bracket, and the pin could slide right in the hole, yet the adjustable length connecting rod is just floating there doing nothing. The other end of the adjustable connecting rod is connected to the same block of hydraulics as the levers controlling the 3-point hitch lift.

I'm hoping someone here might be able to identify these items.
Thanks again for all the help so far.

Gordo I,ll try , first of all the tractor as most all small compacts did not come with draft control; That is a dealer added kit to make draft control on the tractor. As you have discovered as you raise the short lever it picks up. Really that is about all it ever did , you put the plow in the ground then EASED up on the short lever till it just barely begins to pick up then you have some semblance of draft control. I have spent more time adjusting those things and never saw one that really worked very well. Best put the short lever all the way down and forget it.

Agreed JM. The short lever is all the way down, and I only use the long one.
What's your take on the adjustable connecting rod coming out of the lift hydraulics block, but disconnected, and just hanging there?
