Not tractor related but does any body have any ghost stories kinda related to tractors ---- how about pics ?
I found this youtube vid of a supposed ghost -- I think I saw it but you really have to look close and listen to the back ground noises.
Oh and if any body has a heart condition or is easily scared please DONT watch this as it can scare certain types of people

Not sure that it's a ghost story but about around 2002 was helping a friend drill oats and was using his John Deere A which was what I learned on at my grandpas farm. I was drilling along and all of sudden I got the chills my hair on my neck raised and then I started crying because I knew it was my Grandpa watching and proud that I was farming and driving a A. An no b/ s to y'all but I'm crying now writing this.

GHOST

A professor at the Auburn University was giving a lecture on Paranormal Studies.

To get a feel for his audience, he asks,
'How many people here believe in ghosts?'

About 90 students raise their hands.

Well, that's a good start. Out of those who believe in ghosts,
do any of you think you have seen a ghost?'

About 40 students raise their hands.

That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously.
Has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?'

About 15 students raise their hand.

Has anyone here ever touched a ghost?'

Three students raise their hands.

That's fantastic. Now let me ask you one question further...
Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?'

Way in the back, Ahmed raises his hand

The professor takes off his glasses and says:
'Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture,
no one has ever claimed to have made love to a ghost.
You've got to come up here and tell us about your experience.'

The Middle Eastern student replied with a nod and a grin,
and began to make his way up to the podium.

When he reached the front of the room, the professor asks,
'So, Ahmed, tell us what it's like to have s*x with a ghost?'

Ahmed replied,
"Sh*t, from way back there I thought you said Goats."

Ghosts eh? Well I have experienced a few things over the years. Bump in the night, knocking on windows/doors noone there, windows in the old farm house nailed shut and distinctively heard a window slam down twice, ghost dog that runs down the hallway... etc etc. The one that made my heart pause was my father coming to me in a dream. Those are the best and fill me with happiness.

One night when I was a small boy I had a nightmare after being told a ghost story. My no nonsense father came to comfort me. He said after the Battle of the Bulge there were so many dead soldiers they piled there frozen bodies to hide behind. "and if there were no ghosts there than there must not be any." That picture has remained in my mind for 60 years.

Yes they are out there. We had two in our house. Lady in a pink gown and a man in a rocker. I never saw the man in the rocker. But my wife said he sat in the same spot she did. I didn't believe her but if you sat in her recliner. The air at that spot got very cold. The lady was very friendly. Hated my wifes aunt just as much as I did. People can call me a nut but I know what I saw.

A good read is "Ghosts In The Air", by Martin Cadin, now deceased.

It's a collection of stories of paranormal activity that airplane pilots have experienced in the air that they will relate to other pilots, but not to non-pilots for fear of being branded a nutcase. Cadin solicited responses in aviation magazines, aviation bulletin boards, etc. He discarded 90% of his responses and only used the ones for which there was absolutely no rational explanation.

A couple of examples. The Red Baron's WWI red Fokker tri-plane was seen in the skies over Europe a fair number of times during WWII. It would always pull in ahead of a lone Allied fighter plane and remain a certain distance ahead, even though their air speed was several times what a WWI fighter would have been capable of. It would eventually fade away. Enough different pilots experienced it so that it could not have been a figment of one pilot's imagination, or a hallucination of one pilot.

Then there was an airline captain with a plane load of passengers on what should have been a milk run from Chicago to Oakland. The Midwest was socked in in a snow storm, but they were 'way above it. Then a pregnant female passenger went into labor. Things got out of hand to a point where the captain had no choice but to declare an inflight medical emergency. He was diverted to Salt Lake City. He was on his approach to SLC down aptly named Diablo Canyon, strictly on instruments, socked in to where he couldn't even see his own wingtips. Suddenly a gentleman appeared beside the captain in the cockpit and a voice he recognized said, "Better turn left, Bob". Bob was a bit startled, and the gentleman said it again, "Turn left, Bob, NOW!".

Bob turned left. A couple of minutes later, they broke out under the clouds, and Bob saw his right wingtip was literally only a few feet from the canyon wall. The rest of the landing was routine, the lady had a baby boy and named it after the pilot. And the gentleman who appeared in the cockpit and told Bob to turn left was a buddy of his who had been dead for several years.

On my part, I have reason to believe I'm being followed around by the spirit of an old girlfriend who died relatively young without ever marrying. But that's another story.

A nephew of mine once owned a haunted farm house.

He said nothing ever was threatening or menacing, just strange things happened. And he never actually saw anything. But, he'd come home from work and find a closet door open that he knew was shut and latched when he left in the morning. Or he'd work out in the yard for a couple of hours in the evening and find a chair in the living room moved when he came in. Just stuff like that.

Fifteen years ago our daughter passed away at 27 years old during a routine surgery. Two weeks before the surgery our son had a nightmare about his sister passing away. It was bad enough he woke up his wife. I was in Dighton Kansas on the wheat harvest and had not planned on coming home for the surgery but three days before the surgery was scheduled I suddenly was in a very bad mood, almost in tears. After a few hours of acting like this I told myself I had to come home for the surgery so I did come home. It was a ten hour drive.

My son had not planned to take time off from work to be there for the surgery but at the last moment he decided to take the day off so he could be there.

Because of these premonitions we were all there as a family to support her before she was wheeled off to her final end. I even gave her a kiss on the forehead.

Someone up there had to be telling us something bad was going to happen during that surgery. Maybe some day I will find out who that someone is.

A cousin of mine passed away during recovery after back surgery. A couple of days before the operation, she emailed me and said, "Pray for me".

The way she said it, I've often wondered if she didn't have a premonition.

My moms oldest brother was in the Battle of the Bulge. Things were looking pretty grim and Uncle Mike thought his time was coming soon. One night he had a vivid dream of his and my mom's younger sister visiting him. She told him not to worry and that he was going to be okay. He was so moved that he wrote a letter home telling the family of his dream, even described what his sister was wearing. The mail was pretty slow so it wasn't until weeks later that he learned that Esther Anne had been killed by a drunk driver helping a freind deliver newspapers. Yup. He described exactly what she was wearing when she died. Uncle Mike survived, raised a family and lived to his eighties. Esther Anne was about twelve.

Two experiences concerning friends. We use to help a neighbor plant peas in September for deer. In September 1965 I asked when we would plant that year. He said I'm not this year, I may not be here when deer season gets here. One week later they buried him. Another neighbor and good friend lost his wife in Feb of 2011, one Sunday morning in December he rang my door bell. He said his wife and mother in law visited him last night. They told him they were going back but I knew where they was. I talked to him about an hour and convinced him they had both died. Wife told me I needed to check on him later that day. When we came home about 5 that afternoon they called first responders to his address. I went down and he was dead in his front yard. I think about both of them at times. No ghosts, but it gives you something to think about. Like getting a message from a higher power to be ready when called.

The previous owner of our farm has shown up in my barn a couple of times.....Guess he was satisfied with things, cause nothing bad happened. Ben

My paternal Grandaddy lived with us the last couple of years of his life. I was around 10-12 then. He used a chamber pot in the bedroom, took care of all the dumping, cleaning, etc. When my wife and I moved into the house in 1982, I'd not told her about him. She said a few times she felt a presence when she was the only one there. I would 'see him' a couple of times from the right side of the love seat we had, looking toward the bathroom and he'd be taking his bucket to the bathroom!! My wife says she never felt threatened, but could definitely sense a presence there!

The building I'm using for a shop started out as a hay barn my father built in 1973 with the help of two uncles. He passed away in 1985. In 1992 I poured a floor in it, and lined and insulated it to turn it into a shop.

Sometimes when I'm working late at night, I can almost feel another presence in the building.

Wife and I have seen (at a side glance) a young man in a civil war union uniform coming down our stairs. On occasion we smell pipe smoke in early evening. We neither have ever smoked. Our home was built in 1870s and we know a doctor was most likely the 1st owner. Maybe some of his patients.

I've had similar experiences with smelling smoke.

My wife and I bought the house we now live in about 12 years ago. Shortly after I began to smell cigarette smoke, especially at night just before bedtime. Neither of us smoke, no smokers in the house. My wife said she could not smell it.

At first I thought it was the lady next door. She would sit on her back porch and smoke, thought it was somehow getting into our house. Several times I went and peeked through the fence, she was not there.

This was so real, I would swear someone was in the same room smoking. Never saw any one or any smoke. I did find evidence that a smoker had lived here before, butts in the flowerbeds, in the fireplace, on the garage floor.

I have a hard time believing in ghosts, but the Bible says there are demons, fallen angles, looking for a place to abide. Guess I prayed them away, haven't smelled the smoke in several years now, good riddance!

When my wife and I were young we lived in the house my grandfather had lived in before he got cancer and moved to a nursing home. My pregnant wife visited him many times at the home and he died a month before our first child was born. My grandad was notoriously camera shy so there were almost no pictures of him. When my son was about 6 my mother was looking for family photos for a reunion or something while my son was visiting. He saw a wedding anniversary picture of my grandparents all dressed up for the anniversary party and my son said "I know him". When my mother asked he said "That's the green man. He comes and checks on me when I go to bed to make sure I'm OK". The thing is Grandad wore green Big B work pants and matching green work shirt every day of his life until he moved to the nursing home just before my son was born. Made a believer out of me.
After my Dad died and I was looking after the farm for my Mom as well as working at the chicken factory I really felt like Grandad was riding to and from work with me. This carried on until my cousin died of cancer. I like to think that he went to watch over my uncle who needed him more after burying his son.

Daughter moved to Baker Oregon a few years ago. Old mining town from the 1800's.Main street is 80 or so feet wide so they had room to turn the wagons around.
We went to see her, she was working at the historical Gieser Hotel, nice place all fixed up. Stopped in to have a drink (1)
SIL said some believe the basement is haunted, the basement has a lot of old pictures and exhibits from the era.
Went down there alone nobody there, talking out loud "this place isn't haunted"...last I remember,am told I went up and finished my drink and walked outside, couple of hours later SIL went looking for me, stopped in at a bar and they were talking about some guy walking down the middle of the road shouting "this ain't my town I'm going home" 4 hours later I woke up to my cell phone ringing, SIL goes "where are you at, what do you see?"I told him and he came to pick me up. I didn't remember a thing, nada.
Iv'e been back but give a wide berth to the Gieser.

The cast and crew of Gold Rush (the show) were filming in the area for a few months and stayed there for a week, then went to another hotel for the same reason.

The only ones I got is the ones everybody in our family has about the old farmhouse my father grew up in. Before the house burned, Pittmans lived in it for the better part of 70 years I guess and oh the stories that still get told. I personally never heard or saw anything, but my ex BIL who was supposedly " in tune " with the other side said he thought the attic of the old place was a gateway to another dimension so evil he would not spend another minute in the house let alone another night. He said I was too close-minded to see or feel such things. I said good for me! I'm gonna go with Steve @advance and believe in demons before ghosts. Don't really wanna meet up with either.

youare kidding , rite ,.. because that link is stupid, and should not be here with such serious response you got back , obviously others did not watch the link ,because they probably would not have responded ,,or perhaps your devilment showed me the wrong link, ,////What others state here i believe . because of my own experiences , IT IS REAL, and your silly you tube joke is bad taste ///. I do Believe in God , Jesus Christ ,and the Holy SPIRIT,and KNOW there are ANGELS AMONG US,.I have felt the presence of my parents since they passed away ,i have my granparents wash stand in the girls bedroom downstairs, during my most tormented time after chemotherapy treatment, i would lie in bed and place my hand on the washstand and pray and soon i would get the most peaceful relaxing feel of my recently deceased mother and granmother i never knew, who died of pneumonia at age 44 in 1929 ,. .when i drive my 58 chevy grain truck i alawys think of my great Uncles that also drove this old truck and have long since passed to the other side ,. ../ but yes,i have felt a presence in my house and my previous house ,.of perhaps people that passed away in these homes,i do not sleep in any part of the old sections of the current house i own,. this house had a simple 5/12 roof on the front and a 3/12 on the back when i bought it in 1984 , it lookt odd when you rounded the corner,. i corrected the pitch and added roof lines that dramatically beautified this home with a dormer ,a round top and serveral gables topping a porch, a bedroom , and a nice sunroom ,. the upstairs bedroom suite has a half moon arch in the overhang draped below the 8/12 pitch gable that is 180 degrees opposite of the original gable of the house , it was a major facelift and made it the most beautiful home in the neighborhood , and have been complimented many times exactly in those words by the neighbors and visitors . besides the 16x24 sunroom i only built 8ft onto the 2 bed rooms and living room added a upstairs bedroom suite ..Without realizing it we located all the beds in the new sections i built ,,. primarily to be near windows . I think the Old Mother that died here is very pleased with the work we did here ,,. I still use the old piston pump that predates WW 2.,.. my daughter swears she saw the mother in the hallway, she did not speak, but was wearing a pink gown and was like chekin in on them ,. both my daughters woke us up with this story,. the youngest did not see anyone , but rather heard steps in the hallway,. it took us a while to calm them down ,and they slept with us in our room that nite upstairs ,. and i had to promise to sleep with them in their room all nite the next couple nites /// Then , on another occassion My Oldest daughter saw the son in a tormented state,. i honestly can say i never saw a ghost but i have felt a pressence many times, my youngest son , claims he feels a pressence here occassionally .. In 1983 the old mother died ,then , the 52 yr old son that was socially backwards kilt himself in the shop 8 days later, after his mother passed away on halloween nite while on the commode ,.. i never think about that event until a couple days after halloween ,//// but the shop , however is another matter,. i dont like being alone there, i have had chills go thru me there , and have experienced so much sadness there, i can't repair things easily there alone ,.,HOWEVER . unless others are with me, and i even do all the work and it goes like clok work ,.That death has tainted the shop of easy happiness .

We moved to this old farmstead about 15 years ago. For many years, nothing unusual. One day we got back to playing games - board games, card games, etc. At first, we would both end up smelling two distinct odors. One was cigarette smoke and the other was cigar smoke. Wife CANNOT STAND cigar smoke and, as we had joked about them possibly being ghosts, she said she wished he'd stop smoking cigars and stinking up the place! Sure enough, the cigar smell ended. She also made the comment that she didn't like cigarettes in the house, so that smell disappeared also.

Next time we got a game out, we were well into the game when there was a hint of another smell - this time, pipe smoke. It was a wonderful smell. Wife grew up around pipe smoke, but she said she wished her Grandpa would have smoked this brand cause it smelled better. So then the smell got stronger. Then, another smell emerged; this time it was perfume. Wife liked the smell but I'm allergic to certain perfumes and I began to sneeze. Smell went away. Later, it was a different perfume, and much toned down. We were OK with that, and by now we were THOROUGHLY convinced it wasn't in our minds!!

For a couple years after that, these two smells would always show up when we played a game, and then sometimes just out of the blue. Then one day the perfume smell never came back. The pipe smell was gone for a while, but came back after a few months, but seemed distant - not really wanting to interact.

We know a little about the original occupants of the farm, but from our understanding, the man died before the woman, and that has left us wondering who it could be then? Neither of us can remember anyone similar from either of our families.

Has been a couple of years since either of the smells have appeared. Every now and then one of us will ask the other if they've smelled either smell, but the answer now is always no. It was fun while it lasted. What it all meant, however, we haven't a clue! ...Maybe we need to start playing the games again.
