Kind of hard to explain,,but the is a small farm being auctioned off near our farm in PA.It is 20 acres ,a big old house on one side of the road ,and a big old barn across the road from the house,i dont know how to post a link,,but it listed by Dean Arner auctioneer co in PA. I really wanted to go,since its in the same twp as us,to see what it brings.I dont know if I will be feeling well enough to go.If I call the auction co some time next week, would they tell me what it brought?Im kinda doing research to see values in the area.

If you tell them that you have property in the area, and are researching values, I'm sure they will tell you. Btw, its public information here, available on the county website.

If it sells the auctioneer should tell you what it sold for as it is public knowledge. If it doesn't sell I don't think he has to disclose what the highest bid was.

In the event it does sell, but the auctioneer does not want to disclose the selling price you can check what it sold for at your local courthouse after the transaction is complete.

Have a good day and keep up the good progress.

God bless.

Any auctioneer should disclose that info if you call them. Many auctioneers these days have websites of course and will post sale results on the website after they get around to it in a week or so. Saves you a lot of time! Although if you are like me, attending these sales are sometimes the only chance you have to B.S. with the neighbors.

If your county has GIS on their website, taxes and other info. should be available to you. In my county two years taxes and pics of property are there.

here in Montgomery county the county does have all that info on their web site but in the event of a sale the results will not be posted until settlement on the property is made often taking at least a months time.

Larry,

I'd think they'd tell you what it sold for... especially if you explain the reason you could not attend the auction.

Last week I used an auctioneer's web email link and asked what a tractor sold for (if it wasn't too much trouble for them), because we could not attend the sale. They promptly responded with the selling price.
