Hurricane almost got to Old

I looked at weather map this morning, remnants made it to MO border, does not look like it will go last 200 miles.

It has put a stop to tobacco cutting in Ky. for a couple of days. Nothing to complain about though compared to the deep south.

Ya it would have been nice if it had gotten up this way we need rain and we need it badly. Been over 3 weeks since we have gotten enough rain to say we got rain. @nd cutting of hay is not looking very good and trying to hold off on doing it till we get some rain. Had a poor first cutting and now the 2nd is looking to be even worse.

Hay does not grow well if it does not have enough rain to make it grow. Here in Missouri where I am it has either been way to wet which is as bad as being to dry or way to dry. In July the 5th we had a flood then it stopped raining and we have had little to no rain since. In the 37 years I have lived here and done hay this is the worst year I have seen and that even include the garden which has not done well this year either. Most years I have tomato's till the first frost and this year the plants died. Pepper plant have not done well either. Green bean took me 3 or 4 planting to get them going because they would rot in the soil due to it being to wet in the spring then turned hot and dry till July 5th and then the flood and 5 inches of rain sure as heck did not help

Sorry to hear you are dry too, here we have gotten less than 3" of liquid H20 all year, last rain to amount to anything was 14 weeks ago and then it was only .50 hope we all get things evened out soon,, feast or famine,, folks in MT have it much worse than me, over one million acres burned so far, sad deal all around but things will get better
cnt

Bad thing is here in Missouri we started out the year wet and warm then it got cold again right after every thing started to grow so it got hit and slowed down. Then it got warm again and way to wet so thing you planted would rot before they started to grow. I had to plant my green beans 3 or 4 time because most of them would rot before they would start to grow. Cucumbers did nothing and tomato's started off good then all at once died. Hay has been very poor. Last year I got around 35 bales form my first cutting but this year maybe 20 just been an odd year at best.
