Allis Wd problem

Drained hydraulic oil piece of round steel fell out was 1 inch long by 1/2 inch wide looked like a bearing or a push rod. Any asnswers. Run it or park it was working good no noise before

Is this tractor new to you or have you owned it or has it been in the family a long time.
 
I have owned it for 12 years everything works ok lift works fine no new noises so didn't know if it is a plunger if it would last being one short.
 
It has 3 or 4 plungers so it should not be a problem how hard to replace 1-2-3 hour job should be broke retainer ring I'm thinking what's your opinion thanks
