Cliutch release

Have a B Farmall that has been sitting for several years. Have it up and running and when attempting to put it in gear it will not let me put it in gear. If I turn it off and put it in gear it cranks over and moves the tractor like I am trying to start it with the clutch not pushed in. Is there a easy way to break the clutch loose so I can drive the tractor without damaging it? I also posted this on the IH page, but you guys seem to respond faster.

On many tractors, you can remove the starter and that will give you access to the side of the pressure plate/clutch disk. Bend an old knife at a 90? angle (heat it first, where you want to bend it), and use it to work the clutch disc loose from the flywheel. Tie the clutch pedal down to get the pressure plate out of the way.

I had a C that did that and I drove it in 4th gear with the clutch pushed and the brake on and It finally let go.

The tractor has a recessed disk. it is in a pocket in the flywheel. No access. Point it out into a field and get it going in third gear. Block the clutch pedal down and use the brakes intermittently to shock the disk loose. Be safe. Jim

I've broken them loose by blocking the pedal the jack up one rear wheel and rock it back and forth til it lets loose.
