I finally took the plunge and created a YT profile today. I must confess I'm not a social media junky at all. I dont do Facebook, Twitter or
anything of the sort but when I accidentally stumbled upon this discussion forum while ordering parts from YT I was instantly hooked. It's been a
blessing knowing that there's a group of people who share the same passions of preserving rural/agricultural heritages that I'm so fond of. I've
been a YT stalker for a couple of years now and have benefited from the knowledge of so many of you. I've shared posts and pictures with my
wife and after several months of her encouraging me to be more than an observer, I decided it was time to take the plunge and create a profile.
I hope that in some small way that I can repay the debt of gratitude that I have to someone somewhere by sharing an encouraging word or
useful information that helps them out.
Background on me:
Happily married to the love of my life. We have 2 kids. Ages 21 and 17. We have. Small beef cattle operation in mid TN and use the following
tractors on our farm. JD 1530, JD 2640, JD 5100M, 1950 Case SC and a 1955 Ferguson TO35 (restoration project). Both me and my wife's
families have deep agricultural roots and are passionate about preservation of that heritage.
I look forward to interacting with you guys and hope that I may be of some help.

Welcome, this is a cool site with really good people. I don't do social media either, I call this my tractor Facebook.

Thanks Jim. Once I earn the right to post pictures, I'll be sure to post pictures of the finished product. The little Ferguson started out to be a father/son project but unfortunately my son lost interest in it it. Did you paint your 55' TO35 the original green and grey?

Nice to have another on the Tractor Channel (my wife's name for YT forum) winnowing fact from wishfull thinking takes a community. Jim

Welcome. This site is My Facebook, twitter, instagram, news, weather and, comedy channel all in one (thanks to Jon f). There is a lot of knowledge on here. If you ever have any tractor problems or just plain old life problems just post it. As many regulars as there is on here I've yet to see a problem that can't be solved or at least sent down the right road. And don't forget to check in everyday for the daily funny

Sure did, this is what the 10 yr. old restoration looks like.

Welcome MidTNDEERE ! I am in middle Tn also. A little north of Crossville. Rrlund is coming by a little later today to enjoy the eclipse with us. What part of middle Tn are you in?

Hey Lee. I'm about 40 miles east of Nashville. The path of the eclipse is passing almost directly over our farm and my family is planning on meeting in one of our hay fields to observe the eclipse. It's a shame we've already made plans or I'd consider making the drive to Crossville to meet you and rrlund. If I remember correctly rrlund has several Olivers. At one time I had a 1850 and a 550. I really like the Olivers and would love to swap stories. Hopefully our paths will cross sometime soon and we can meet for a cup of coffee. Thanks for making a newbie feel welcomed.
