I was able to drive over to my friend and neighbor here in nj yesterday morning.Its only one block over from us.This old barn was a dairy barn.It sits in a residential area now,,but thanks to my friend it is in great shape.He had all the roof redone years ago,,new ply wood and timberline shingles on the whole roof.Now he is almost done with vinyl siding it.This pasture for this dairy,,is now the cul de sac street we live on,,the houses built around 1960 or so.It took close to 47 square of vinyl siding to do the job,,its almost finished.

Very nice looking old barn! There are fewer and fewer each year that passes by............That's one that should be around for many years yet to come.

Larry,

Beautiful! Tell your friend that's a great save. Now she'll stand a long time yet.

Love that color too.

Deep red is what I wanted on our outbuildings... but "somebody" ordered siding without asking my opinion - so they're more of a rust color. And yes, usually I love rust... but I really wanted dark red. :(

The ladder scaffold: it looks a lot more frightening now than when I worked from them! Am I wimpier or smarter?

Thanks for posting this Larry, love all your photos.
There have been many of those barns lost around here (Southern Ontario), I know we can't save them all but to be able to repurpose one makes it easier to justify the expense.

It's nice to see an old dairy barn in that great of shape.

I could take a short drive and have many pics of old barns falling down. They need dozed down, too far gone.

Larry;

I used to use Fotobucket as a picture hosting site but they want big bucks now to use it. Which site do you use?

Thanks in advance for your reply
