Well more rain today. Gardens are really bolting now with heat and rain. We harvested and processed 21 meals of broccoli, 11 meals of chard, plus asparagus earlier in May. We have picked lots of lettuce on an as needed basis. Corn is just beginning to tassel, and looks like we may get some peas and beans after three plantings to get plants to sprout.

The Dill self seeded and we have pulled bunches of it growing where we did not want it.
We have cut back on the size of our garden this year and turned some of it back into lawn. Doctors don't want us eating as many potatoes as we were, so we planted one box with 560 sets of Blue spuds and one box with 60 sets of Red spuds. I hope the spuds have as nice of tubers as they have vines. We have lots of tomatoes and beans caned in various forms, left from last year. The squash is really coming on now so we will have lots of that.
The last pic. is my view from where I set at my cumpuker.

Here in Northeastern Pa. we have gotten 6 inches of rain in the last week. Personally no damaged at my place. Lot of flash floods all around. Some very heavy damage to folks property.

Beautiful garden and flowers. I sure wish we could take care of a bigger garden like we used to instead of reverting to the tire garden which has done great for us. This getting old sure does have it's faults but beats the alternative. Keith

Your garden is awesome. I can tell you have put a lot of hard work into it. I just got thru picking squash, tomatoes, okra, some banana peppers, cucumbers.

Beautiful. On the dill and I noticed a lot of it, when I was a little scrapper, I helped one of my grandpas with his 1 acre garden he farmed with his David Bradley, (Sears???) 2 wheel digger....don't know what they called it....had handle bars, a single cylinder engine.

Anyway. I recall on one occasion we were headed back to the house for lunch and he had to take a whizzzz. He turned away from me and stood in front of a Dill plant about his height. Off to the side was another maybe 1' high. As he was whizzing, he said something like "Son, this is the benefit of fertilizer. That plant over there doesn't get any. See the difference." Made an impression.
