A slow go by myself but is starting to look like a cabin

I like it a lot but was wondering why you didn't get your log spacing closer together, gonna have to do a lot of chinking to fill in the gaps

To me that is the way you build a log cabin.
Less logs; fill the gap with a wire mesh screen and a skim coat of mortar.
Similar to stucco.
Fill the center with spray foam.
Then another wire mesh skim coat on the inside.
Looks more old time and natural.
Besides when you put logs tight you have to worry about mold growing where the wood touches.

Someone a hundred years plus knotched them I just took down and put back together. It was an old tobacco barn

Tobacco barn explains the gaps- drying the hanging tobacco leaves means need airflow but snug roof to keep rain off. Wisconsin tobacco barns with vertical board sides seem to be missing every other board. Crib construction with wide gaps logical for tobacco, would be useful for some other uses with vertical slab siding - similar construction main walls and north and west sides have the 'shake' or 'slab' vertical siding for critters or hay, some time ear corn hanging from clumped/tied husks. North and west are prevailing wind direction, early morning sun heats some between gaps and south gets some winter sun. Another term for the wide gap, minimal notched frame was 'hog pen' construction. Would make a handy tractor shed for garden tractor maybe, possible sheep pen/shed. Use some fine mesh screen on inside to keep bugs out and set up split log table cooler and grill for 'summer kitchen' in old style slightly upgraded. RN.
