We have many on this board who have had, or are currently facing major health problems.
These Health problems ( I prefer to call them "Challenges"), scare us witless when we hear those fateful words.
When I was 23 I heard the words "You have Cancer". It scared the stuffins out of me. My wife worked as a nurses aid in a hospital, so she was very supportive even while she dealt with her health demons. I decided I didn't have time to mess around, so the thing to do was "kick this thing, and get on with life".
Fast forward, I haven't been 23 since 1979, and I am still looking foreword to each day.
My aches and pains are from working hard and heavy, and playing hard, Not from cancer. It was a challenge. I met it and moved on.
I now keep track of my Dad, Mentor my kids, and play with the Grandkids.
Its been 38 years since the surgery's, chemo, and such.
I wish 38+ years of positive, healthy living, with all the adventures that come with challenges.
