This isn't about tractors but u guys own pickups, mine gets hot engine smell when vent door is open I.e. When a.c. Is on but not on max . Where does the air from the outside enter the cab? Outside air comes in but what is the path?.doesnt smell like exhaust but like heat and oil vapors. Anyone else have this problem?. Can't hear or find exhaust leak.
Thanks beforehand for any info

I don't know where the air comes in, but if you are smelling oil, it is because there is an oil leak.

If you can get it up on a lift, or get under it with a flashlight, look for evidence of oil getting on the exhaust system. Late model vehicles are sealed up pretty well against oil leaks, part of the emissions. So any oil leakage should be somewhat obvious, especially if it is burning on the exhaust.

Common leaks are the valve covers, back of the intake, rear main, oil pressure switch, oil pan gasket, transmission seal, cooler lines, power steering system.

Nope!!! Had this on my Ford Expedition. Did you recently work on the top of the engine recently? Bet you knocked a polution hose loose somewhere. Going into the vacuum manifold or air flow to the fuel/air intakes. Stunk like the bottom of a drain oil pan till I found it.
