ThermoSTART

Hey folks!

I am installing a thermostart on my Ford 4500 with the 3 cylinder
diesel. I will tie into the return line from the injectors.

My question is whether I need a resevoir before the thermostart and
does it need to be vented. It would seem that a check valve would
allow fuel to flow into the thermostart but prevent overflow.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

No, you don't need the reservoir. Later models did away with it. The line itself holds enough for several attempts...if that doesn't do it, the engine is tired, or it's too cold for the thermostart to be enough by itself (use a block heater!).
If you DO WANT a reservoir, I have one.
