Cummins engine question

When installed in Ford trucks, the engine is tilted to the right. There is plenty of room for it to stand up straight; I was just wondering why this was.

Fritz, the 5.9 in my 93 F250 is perfectly level. Sometimes I have known of them being "clocked" to the left so the turbo would clear the heater core. Its a wonderful swap. Mine has been in 7 years with no problems. 19.5 mpg when empty and as my grandpa would say it will pull the handle out of a green maul!

'93-'97 sure are good-looking trucks. I'd like to do a swap like yours someday, soon as I can find a 2715E. They sound so good in the combines!

I got mine in a school bus. So far I have bought 3 busses with 5.9 engines. 2 years ago I put one in a gas 806. I still have one in a bus waiting to see what it will go in. For a poor old ignorant country boy like me you cant beat them. Simple, dependable and fairly reasonable to operate/repair. I don't want anything newer and more complicated.
