Farm Equipment Number Game

Match a tractor with an implement of the same model number. An example would be a 7000 Ford tractor and 7000 JD corn planter.

You don't even have to change brands for JD. Try 750
a compact tractor ,a bulldozer ,and a grinder mixer ! and maybe more ? Man it is worse than I thought ! I just put it into JD parts. Add a grain drill, an excavator, and a portable generator.

It's kind of fun when the tractor and implement could work together in real life. Minneapolis Moline G750 and Gehl (G)750 forage harvester.

Oliver 66 Tractor, New Holland 66 baler, might even be able to do it again using the word Super twice

You could go 2-155 tractor and 155 spreader but again too much power but the mud might be less of an issue.

It's not just tractors/equipment using the same number It used to be real fun when a new customer called talking about his "7810" tractor and expects you to answer his question being an independent mechanic working on many colors, or he's with a bunch of guys talking about this 7810 tractor . Well sir is it a Ford 7810 or a John Deere 7810 you own?.

The theory says you could also end up with a JD and Ford 7810 working the same field.
It used to be they never really shared tractor model numbers between brands when I was younger living in the U.K. I wonder how many tractor numbers cross over to other manufacturers to ?.

Regards Robert

ihc 1190 haybine,,1190 case DB,.. case 430-530 -630-730-830 tractor John Deere used the same numbers of the last generation of 2 cyl.
ihc 990 haybine -David Brown 990 ,.. 1030 nh hay staker -1030 case ,.. 300-case tractor - 300 massey combine ....800 and 400 case tractors - 800 and 400 ihc cyclo planter,,.. golly, i could not stop , hope you dont mind all these coming at once

I don't mind at all. I'll never get them all figured anyways although I had the Case 1190 and IH 1190 mo-co on my mind.

Like your example, I have a Ford 7000 tractor and a JD 7000 corn planter. Also a MacDon 7000 s.p. mower/conditioner.
AC 7000 tractor and JD 7000 planter.
Ford 4000 tractor, MacDon 4000 mower/conditioner.
Ford 5100 (5000 all-purpose) and IH 5100 grain drill.
Ford 600 tractor and Gehl 600 chopper. (also the respective 800's)
JD 720 tractor, IH 720 plow.

You know your equipment very well. Case 970 and Gehl 970 forage wagon. Ford 960 and Gehl 960 forage wagon.

The 770 tractors mentioned below with Gehl MC770 moco

Oliver 880 with Gehl MC880 moco

MH33 tractor MF 33 seed/grain drill

I believe there was a 444 plow and 555 plow that could go with a MH 444 and 555 respectively.

They are a tough little tractor and I have heard of them turned up to 90 HP. If the round baler hangs a little heavy I guess we could hook the tractor to a Case IH 435 baler.

John Deere has probably the best example

830 Two cylinder diesel made in waterloo
830 Three cylinder diesel made in Mannheim Germany

John Deere 400 tractor and a 400 feed grinder.Allis chalmers D15 and Deere 15 flail chopper. John Deere 214 lawn mower and 214 silage wagon.110 Deere lawn mower and a Deere 110 chuckwagon. Massey Harris 33 tractor and Deere 33 manure spreader. Massey 44 and a Deere 44 spreader. Oliver 88 and a Deere 88 crop dryer. Oliver 550 tractor and Deere 550 grain dryer.Oliver 66 tractor and AC all crop 66 combine. IH 350 tractor and IH 350 chopper. Tom

I have a triple. JD 9400 pulling 9400 drills and cutting the crop with a 9400 combine. All three made at the same time.

Massey 180 w/ H&S 180 manure spreader
Massey #12 garden tractor with a #12 baler
Massey #9 baler with a 9N
An Oliver Hart-Parr 70 on steel pulling a John Deere 70 out of the mud
A Massey 245 with Oliver 245 field cultivator

Donovan from Wisconsin

Minneapolis Moline G1000 pulling a JD 1000 field cultivator. JD 530 tractor pulling an IH 530 manure spreader.

John Deere G cultivating the 80 acres of corn with it's 4 row mounted cultivator while the Allis-Chalmers G cultivates the 3 acres of taters
and t'maters with it's 1 row mounted cultivator are getting it done.

And they're getting the John Deere 60 tractor hooked up to the Allis-Chalmers All Crop 60 combine.

But getting the McCormick No. 30 loader mounted on the Massey-Harris 30 tractor ain't going too well.

International 660 tractor pulling a pull type swather ahead of Case 660 combine.

Case 1660 combine & case International 1660 combine in the same yard/field.
