Got a chance to do some painting in the CBS paint booth today.
Got a lot of the blade and track carriages into paint, but need to pull it ahead tomorrow and paint the rest of the track component that paint couldn't get to today. After getting the rest of the Case power red on the chassis I will have to mask of the power red parts and then run the Federal yellow on the body. The hood, nose and grill pieces are at the local sand blasters.
In case you don't remember, a friend brought me this dozer after it suffered an engine fire. Having a heck of a time finding a radiator repair shop in the area to recore the melted radiator. The engine is fine, but all electrical components and hydraulic hoses are trash.
Once all the paint is on, I will rewire and install new/salvaged electrical components including used distributor lights seat cushions, decals, etc. Also having a real problem finding a replacement mechanical fuel pump, as CNH no longer supplies them. Also looking for a MS carb. Everything melted in the old one.

Looks Great!
Slowly coming back to life.

I Cut my teeth on those old Case Crawlers.
After 50 years I still have a soft spot for them.
I guess that's why I keep two old Case Crawlers around here.

Nice

It wasn't supposed to rain here today, but it did. Hail damage in spots yesterday.

Where's the fuel tank located on the little dozer? Does it need a fuel pump? Would you consider an electric rather than OEM mechanical?

Loren, Looking good! I had Cobleskill Radiator recore my Oliver HG radiator. Bob has fixed a few for me with no problems. I have his number if you want it.

Loren,
Nice to see make up on the old girl. You seem to only have one color choice when it comes to lipstick.

I got several poor reports about the shop in Cobleskill, so didn't go there. I googled radiator repair shop Utica area. Two showed up. Went to the first one and it was closed. Had a phone number to call posted on door, but no answer when I called it, just an answering machine message.
The other place was in the brewery district of Utica, and couldn't find it. I went up to Burrows Trucking to ask directions, but they said not to take the radiator there either. They have all their radiators repaired out in Port Byron NY. The shop foreman did give me a phone number for a small shop in Brookfield that he liked for small jobs that weren't on a tight schedule.

Bob, the fuel tank is under the seat. The older 310 crawlers had a MOPAR thumper pump on them, but they are very low pressure. about 1.5#. Had to find a pressure regulator valve to keep the carb. from flooding on my dozer. If I can't find a mechanical unit, I will have to go the electric pump route and make a cover where the old pump was installed.

Some one put a lot of money into the under carriages. Complete new CNH tracks & pads, rollers, one idler, and new bearings in the other. It also has a remanned CNH/Eaton hyd. pump.
I don't think it had an easy life. Lots of really rusty areas where mud and dirt was never cleaned and a lot of loose chassis bolts that had to be tightened down or replaced.
