Hi Everyone, my daughter, her two cats and I completed our road trip from Salt Lake City, UT to Ottawa, Canada today. We drove
2320 miles from noon MDT Friday June 23 thru to 3 PM EDT Wed June 28. Traveled the I-80 to I-69 to I-94 to 402 to 401 to 427 to
401 to 416 to 417. We stayed over night in Cheyenne WY, Omaha NE, Davenport IA, South Bend IN and London Ontario. We had brief
stops in Davenport IA to visit cousins and Ann Arbor MI to visit my daughter's friend.
We had good weather all the trip with just light showers a couple places.
Saw many Angus cattle, one JD Combine and two JD track type tractor heading west on flat beds, also many wind turbines actually
turning in Iowa. Crops looked good in NE, IA, IL but in MI and western Ontario many fields with water puddles and shorter corn.

Thanks to Jon and others that gave route and traffic tips about a month ago.

Enjoy your stay! What route do you plan for the return? In my opinion you will see a lot more of Ontario if you don't drive the 4xx highways.

Sounds like a fun trip, the wife and I were just at Salt Lake just over a week ago for her heart surgery,, its about 550 miles one way for us from NE Wyoming, with her condition and my hatred of driving in salt lake we flew,, only took 50 min each way and we only had to drove 5 miles to the airport lol

Hi Case Nutty, hope your wife's surgery went well and her recovery is going well.
My daughter really enjoyed living in SLC but her work term ended. My wife and I enjoyed two previous visits to SLC as well.
It was on my bucket list to drive to SLC as I had never driven west of Des Moines IA on I-80 before.

All the best to your wife.
