OT-ebay question

Looking to buy from ebay, ask seller a question, but it won't allow you to ask question. He has 100% feedback with over 2000 items. If I select contact seller, it circles back to item.

I buy and sell on ebay. The seller could be out of town and have his "vacation settings" turned on. If he does he may have the messages turned off.

Also, If the seller is one of ebay's really big sellers. They won't take messages from buyers. They think they are too busy and important to answer questions.

They try to send you in circles to maybe answer your question before talking to the seller but if you keep at it you can get through.

I buy & sell there

Never had a problem and always was able to ask anyone a question

I have found the larger sellers usually answer your question quickly

Just my experiences

Check at the bottom of the "item" screen that it is taking you to... I've had that happen, but at the bottom of that area - it seems I found a button/link to get to the question/message part.

BUT like others have said, maybe messages are turned off for one reason or another.

Most of the time when I ask a question, sellers are prompt and courteous with answers. Though I have had 2 or 3 that never bothered to reply... so I never bought the item.

"Ask a question" is past all the info about the item and way down at the very bottom of the page right before the similar items, I always have to hunt for it. Never seem one with it not there, but don't buy a lot there either

I've ask questions before to, bought hundreds of items-you try asking a question to this item.

Just for general info when you copy and paste an eBay link you do not need anything from the question mark on.

Yep, ended up on a page that basically said this seller doesn't have time to bother with questions... Find another seller, I wouldn't buy anything from this guy no matter how bad I wanted whatever it was he was selling.

Did you ever get your question asked or did they not respond, I can't tell from your post. If you can't find the place to ask, the ask a question box for your item is w-a-a-a-a-y at the bottom just above the ratings and reviews

On ebay in general, I purchased over 200 items building up my model train layout and for other miscellaneous things. Have nothing but praise for the way they manage their site. I have only had 2 problems and both were resolved through feedback to the seller to my satisfaction, no questions asked.

Course I like their bidirectional reporting too. The seller and the buyer have credit histories.....so when you do contact a seller he/she can check you out and see if you are honest or something otherwise and direct their reply accordingly. The site monitors your request in that after a set period they come back and ask you if your problem was resolved properly. Neat. You have to have good management to have a system like ebay survive and they have done a super job if you ask me.
