Fuel Truck Video

spent 15 years doing that - owned quite a few single axle Chevy, Gmc and ford trucks. a little simpler in the 1970's and 1980's, no hazmat, no computer controlled meters, meters actually printed the ticket, I bought a lot of 8.25-9.00-10.00 tires. would spend up to 20 hours a day in one during spring and fall. NICE video.

I think my brother is closer to 30 years on trucks. And they sure have changed. In fact this one in the video has been replaced by a new, slightly bigger Freightliner. Pulls a tri axle trailer behind it some of the time. I have no idea how many hours were on the previous truck but it would be a lot. The fill up point is at least 30 miles away from the Co-op and he covers a big area. Used to be every small town Co-op had their own truck but now one truck takes care of several towns and surrounding farmland.

Ag Valley got one like the picture, 12 liter Detroit at 400, the driver loves it. Says it runs out at 85, and could stand slightly taller gears. My thought, was you're already 20 over at that point.

And he's looking 70 in the face.

Will it hold up as well as the 9400 with a 60 series? Time will tell.
