whats wrong now with the bean market, took a .10 cent dive friday is it ever going to come back up to $10.00 for this fall??. CBOT has been a yo-e-yo lately

Sorry I must of flooded the market yesterday. I hauled a load in and only got $9.39. I started hauling corn today.

Being that corn planting is stalled in parts of the upper midwest, there is a good chance that should those acres indeed get planted, they will likely be switched to beans. Or they may just not get planted. In eastern WI, both are possibilities at this point. From what I understand, the same is present in parts of N IL, MI and portions of OH.

If you don't like unpredictable and sudden price changes then you need to find something other than farming to occupy your time.Prices for commodities go up and down for various reasons,
always have and always will that's the way its supposed to work.

It's the same across most on Mn too. Still a lot to plant in my area. Looks like we might get to it next week tho.

traditional farmer, you need to learn how to reed, didnt ask how the stock market works, I ask why the bean market fell apparentley you dont know. coonie minnie and jon f mn gave it a good educated guess. and then find something other than farming to occupy your time, what am I going to do with three farms payed for and all of this equipment?? been in the buisness for fifty years, how long you been farming??

Stonerock, ole buddy. Maybe while traditional farmer is learning to reed (read) you could go learn to write. ask (asked), payed (paid), apparentley (apparently).

I'm 65 and been farming all my life and to know why something happened yesterday is a waste of time, trick is to figure out what is going to happen tomorrow, next week etc.BTW Gov't doesn't and has never supported my farming can you say the same?

As was pointed out in another thread other countries are marketing the same crops US farmers are. It's a global market. I read that the bean crop was excellent in Brazil this year and that has affected the market. From what I understand many US farmers are planting more beans this year due to corn prices. That's going to hit the market too. In my humble opinion I'd be surprised if beans top 10 bucks this year and would not be too surprised if they went under 8. Guy get mad guys, that's just what I think and I have been wrong about things before......last time IIRC was in 1971  .
