Ferguson TO-30 tire question

Hi all,
I'm looking for new tires and rims for my ferguson. What I have on there now are 12.4-28 and to replace those would be about $900 for new tires (8 ply), tubes, and one new rim (one of mine is ok). However, I found a craigslist deal for very gently used tires, tubes, and rims, for only $700 BUT they are 11.2-28. I have a loader on my tractor and I use it for snow removal in the winter. Are the 11.2's going to make a big difference in performance vs the 12.4? I'm not sure if I should get the better price or spend the extra money for bigger tires that are actually brand new and potentially higher ply. Thanks for any advice I can get!

Well the 11.2 are about 1 inch narrower then the 12.4 and a little bit shorter to your gear ratio will be a tad bit lower. The foot print will be a tad bit smaller also but should not hurt traction by much and if you use chains probably will not notice it much if any

All I have ever seen around and the TO30 that I had used the 12.4 and I would not go smaller.
