Got the last of the soys in on Saturday. Cold, only about 45 in the morning, but warmed up to 70, still with a strong east wind. The planter I use is a double frame NI 4 row with interplant for beans giving me 7 15 inch rows. Planter has unit mount coulters with HD down pressure springs on each unit. I plant directly into old corn stubble , the left half of the picture is before planting, the right half after planting. Field is rolled when finished planting. The soil is quite variable across the field, from sandyloam to medium clay. I am happy with the seed placement this planter does, as seen in the pictures. Sometimes keeping it simple seems to work. Ben Sorry, about the sideways photos, we did get a nice shower overnight. With a bit of warmth, the beans should be off to a good start. B
