No Heat ????

I changed the antifreeze in my JD 4720 with cab. The heater core is in the ceiling. Now I can't get the water to go up to the heater core. I guess water is fighting gravity. How do I get
the water up and into the heater core. Thanks.

Have you run long enough to get the thermostat open, then recheck the coolant level?

It could be low or airlocked. Once the level is full, you see circulation through the radiator, and the RPMs are up, it "should" pump through the heater.

Had old mechanic tell me to bleed air out of system run engine at fast idle with radiator cap removed for about 45 minutes. Has worked for me

To help yourself out... install a little T pipe with a cap on the center of the T up next to the radiator. Wet vac or try bleading while the tractor is running. With the vac you want someone pouring water in while you vacuum. When you start sucking water have them top it off and cap it as you start to remove the vac. Should be pretty close. That is how the Romans did their water syphon systems. They blocked the bottoms and there was a hole at the top. Fill it right to the top with water and paste in a cement plug. When set the next day you clear the bottom plugs under the two water levels and the system starts to syphon. This is only one type. 5he Romans were absolutely incredible engineers.
Roman syphon.

I was thinking since he had just refilled it there might not be enough coolant in the block for the pump to pick up, or air in the pump, that would come out once the thermostat opened.
