Farmall m camshaft timing gear failure

I have a farmall m gas with live hydraulic power and have had 2 camshaft timing gear failures I understand that the original cam timing gears are prone to this. Where do I go to find a heavy duty replacement that will remedy this issue.
 
The gears from a late 50 M on up - SM - 300 should work.

As stated, check to make sure you are not putting too much torque through it.
 
Farmall M and H with add on live hydraulic pump were well known for breaking cam gears. You need a super series gear.
 
The stock cam gear is not heavy enough , like others have said . Ya need to step up to the 450 cam gear . Also check how much pressure your putting out , You should be around 1250 and not above like 1450 , these old systems were not really that high in pressure and they do not operate some of the newer implements of today that run higher pressure on smaller cylinder dia. If you are finding it hard to lift some things with the factory mounted cylinder don't try jacking up the pressures to do this as you end up trashing out the gear . If it won't lift with a two inch cylinder then go with a three if three don't get the job done then go to four , yep it will be a slower lift because your old pump may not be putting out the GPM's that it did when new . and at best 12 GPM's is new spec. on like a 400-450 and around 10 on 300 and 350.
 
Have had the same issue with a Farmall 200 with 2 pt hitch converted to 3 pt,lifting a Deere 350 sickle bar mower.

Anyone got a line on a HD cam gear for the 123 engine? Mine is torn down right now and would be a good time to replace it.
 
I don't think there is such a thing for the C123, as they were designed to drive a hydraulic pump from the get-go.

Certainly after a quarter-million Super As and Super Cs, any shortcomings would have been identified and fixed by the time your 200 was made.
