They say the leaves are poison to animals but the deer ate the leaves mine off 2 years ago and they dug the roots and killed it
 
Rhubarb pie?!?!? Or strawberry rhubarb pie???? Or blueberry rhubarb pie????? In that order are some of my favorite things in the world.
 
Is that why there are all the deer carcasses alongside the roads? They all died from eating your rhubarb leaves?
 
Ahhh, no, sorry. Probably can't bend down that far anymore. Besides, I just had my own rhubarb pie.....Jayne and I planted 52 trees in the cold and wet today, so as a treat, she bought one from our local Amish. Not as good as hers, but it will do. Ben

Cherry/rhubarb pie for me please! My wife also makes a great rhubarb cake....easy to eat and doesn't give me fuzzy teeth :D
 
My favorite is cook down some rhubarb and sugar to make a sauce. A couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream and just a splash of milk, give it all a ride in the blender. Rhubarb Milkshake!
 
That's all fine and dandy,but it doesn't beat a two and a half inch thick blueberry pie with ice cream. LOL
