Not sure how much much mud there'll be at LeSeuer today but just in case. They needed it anyway.

Funny, I did that just last week too. Had the boots for several years and just decided it was time. I usually wear Propet' oxfords with the air bubbles in the sole and heel because they're cool and easy on my back but I was weed whacking that day and wear boots for that.

Planted my garden today so not to get dirt in my low cut work shoes put a pair of high top work boots on... How can Y'all pick those boots up and put them down all day. As soon as I could those heavy boots can off :!:

I switched to low quarter shoes about 40 years ago. Made a whole lot of difference in my ability to climb up and down tractors etc. all day long. When I have to wear a higher shoe now, it is like lead weights on my legs. I wanted a light pair of maybe 8 inch lace up shoes for hunting when I do not need the insulated boots. Impossible to find. They all have tractor tire lugs on the soles that are only good for dragging along an extra pound of mud on each foot. Would love to get a hold of same kind the Army issued back in the 50's but cannot find any.

Now days I can't even find a good pair of low quarters. I used to buy Red Wing but they didn't last long. Then Wolverine and they were better but took six months to break them in. Came across Kinney shoes by accident and they were great. They were very comfortable right out of the box. They lasted three times longer than the Red Wings. Well, Kinney went out of business. Like the guy at another brand shoe store said, well, maybe they lasted so long they couldn't sell any shoes.

At any rate, shoes are impossible for me now days. None of them feel good on my feet.
