My steering is locked in one direction . has anyone had this problem

If the steering gear box has a broken tooth, it will lock up tight. The gear boxes in that series of Utility is not robust. If used with a loader, even less. Is it power, or manual? Tell us what happened when it locked. Jim

If it's a utility,yes. Dad had one for a short time. I remember my oldest brother going out the driveway one time,turning right and coming right back up through the ditch and in to the yard.

Made a hard left and I can not bring it back . Yes it has a loader

lift the front axle so the tires are off the ground. With much hand force, wiggle each tire in the steering directions. If the knuckles are able to move, and you can see the drag links on each side, the spur gears in the box are probably broken. A replacement power steering system is available from Jackson Power Steering. Jim

Power steering unit has a small rack like a modern car's steering. You broke it. Here is why. I have brought this up many many times that you need to remove the little plug on the back of the unit and pour a little oil there. You are talking some bucks to fix it. Get ready to take your tractor apart.

Here is a picture of that plug. Go to the left side of the tractor. Look over top of the starter just in front of the battery on the left rear side of the power steering unit. Think it takes a 3/8 wrench. Pour maybe a cup of heavy oil in. Soooooooo many power steering units have been messed up because of not being maintained.
