Just opened the door to let the dog out. Feels like 90 at this time. With some very strong wind gust. I am 130 miles north of Houston.

So far, all I've gotten is a lot of noise all night, thunder, and a lot of rain. No hail or winds to speak of.

It's been 18 years since I've had a good hail storm. I'm over due for a good one. The way I look at it, wind and hail is why I pay for good insurance. I have a basement to stay safe.

We have a little ditch about 150 feet from the basement door. In 2007 we got flooding up to the door knob which has never happened before in my life time. Today, it is coming back up and expecting this kind of rain all weekend.

What just because we have 2-3 days of rain then 2 days of no rain then another 2-4 days of rain. Been under a flood warning all night and it is still raining here. Have not gone out in the rain yet to check the rain gauge so do not know how much we have gotten over night
