looking at a Tye series V 15 FT notil drill behind a coulter caddy. what can anyone tell me about these drills?

I've been using no till drills for years. only buy a no till drill with offset disc's. the older tye, didn't have them but am unfamiliar with the newer ones.

Have a 10' with a coulter caddy. They do a good job, very easy to set seed rates. Very accurate. Seem to have made out ok, but there's not a ton in the way of accurate depth control. No gauge wheels. Set you depth initially, level drill. In hard ground, the discs won't cut in as deep, soft too much. JD 750 or 1590 is a better drill, but you pay a dear price for them. Much heavier, so they're able to always penetrate hard pack, but have gauge wheels, so they have very consistent depth in all conditions.
