Home Remedies

I have terrible hip pain day and night. Usually after trip to Chiro im good for month or two . I dont like taking asprin/advil or other pills. When its real bad I buckle and take either Indomethicin, or a pain pill. Other day I was reading about "Golden milk " so I made some . Four cups coconut milk, four table spoons Tumuric, 2 tbls. fresh ground Ginger. 2 Tbls. whole peppercorns. tblsp cinnamon . heat till slight boil , simmer for ten minutes. strain and pour into container. Careful as this stuff stains and my wife chewed my butt. I drink 1/4 cup morning ,noon and again at night . Hip pain is so much better. Still there, but hardly notice it . Stuff tastes terrible though .

There is some funny looking stuff around here that grows along creeks and in corn fields . They say to add a little medicine to the brownie mix for "fiber" and bake. Don't eat the whole batch.

I had both shoulder and hip pain for years, until I stopped sleeping on my side.

I don't know why it took me so long to discover it was not a good thing to sleep on my side.

Some of my friends drink Manchurian mushroom tee. Same 1/4 cup in morning. They swear by it. If you try it brace yourself it wicked.

As bad as I hate to, I agree with Geo  I've dealt with hip pain for years and a Chiro has helped but like you, only for a few days. I had to train myself to sleep on my back and that helped. What I found out was that my potassium was low and I was consistently dehydrated. Getting that corrected helped more than anything else.

I have had a bad time with hip pain. I was in agony when the extended family went to Disney last Nov. It was keeping me from getting to sleep too. In mid Feb I came down with a sinus infection and was not able to do much of anything for nearly two months. Hip pain went away. I have gotten better and walking more now and pain is back. My home remedy: Stay on the couch, unless of course you have things to get done.

It doesn't help everyone, but after the chiropractor told me to stop carrying my wallet in my back pocket (and I followed the advice!) my hip pain went away.

Pair-a-dice,

As bad as I hate to, I agree with Geo.

So is it bad thing on YT to agree with me?
geo.

Believe me. My wallet is so empty it is not going to cause any hip pain. Not to say the emptiness does not cause me pain, just not hip pain.

Gee that isnt so bad I have the hip problem that flairs up when I sit in the easy chair. It gets worse if I flip the
feet up. I think its the nerve but it gets bad when I have to stand up when talking to people. otherwise I watch most
of the TV lying in bed.

I wonder if it would work for my hip pain. Only here they call it Meigs County Gold. It's known all over the world. Used to be the best so a lot of people say. Of couse I wouldn't know.

Show, that used to be my thoughts also, until I got a blood clot last month in my leg from inactivity, got me on strong blood thinners,
"get up stay active" they tell me, but stay out of your shop 'cus you may cut yourself

My son told me to pop a couple of Advil. I had used other brands of such medicines but never Advil. They work. If they upset your stomach, take them with a small glass of milk on an empty stomach for best results. The pain doesn't bother me now as it used to since I know I have a relief mechanism, I know I am in control and I can think about something else. When it's pretty bad, like today, I am thinking about it.

Point of reference. My sweetie buys good shoes for me. Current ones I wear most of the time have a slight heel and have air bubbles in the sole....Propet' is the brand, about $65 on the www if you look around for a deal, otherwise around $100. Last me 2-3 years in retirement on a daily basis. I like shoes as boots are just too hot most of the time.

Yesterday I was wearing my Justin Ropers in town most of the day which are just plain sole, low heel......pretty good back/hip pain this morning......connect the dots.

She tells me your shoes make a difference in your back/hip pain..........smart woman!

Bryan: Turmeric contains curcumin, a well proven anti-inflammatory. We cook with it all the time. The black pepper aids the absorption of the turmeric. This sounds like a good remedy. unc
