My farmer friend has a Long tractor with a three cylinder 143 CID engine. It has the CAV pump. It appears to be leaking out of the center of the fuel damper on the pump which is near the top and 2-3 inches in diameter. I have a couple of questions. it has flats, so I assume it just screws in? Where can I get this? I didn't see it here. Thank you for your time.

Yes, the damper assembly is threaded and screws in place. Clean the area well, remove the damper. Try threading a 5/16 NF nut on the damper threaded end, if it goes on OK then you can use a 5/16 X 1/2 inch long NF bolt with a copper washer to replace the leaking damper and stop the leak. There is a chance damper has metric threads, so a metric bolt would be needed then. Perkins have some pumps with the damper on the advance block that sometimes leak too. Pump will work fine without it, Cummins, Ford, David Brown, most Perkins never used it.
