Does anyone know what the thing is that is mounted to the bracket where the start switch and a light switch is it looks like a diaphragm with a little arm on it is???

It's part of the exhaust lift system.

It unloaded the cycl so when the moldboard plow was tripped the pressure in the cycl was already gone so the plow could drop without also pushing the rod. Small hose went to the check valve assy by the oil filter. Was a unique design for the pneumatic lift system when a moldboard plow was used. That system would operate all the attachments made for the A. Cult,planter,sickle mower,middlebuster and the list goes on. Does yours use the "Choke Cable" to kill the slide sw on the mag. I have a sw if you need one.
