I don't want to belabor this issue which I previously posted on the IH forum, but does anyone know where I might get definite information concerning what hydraulic system changes need to be made when eliminating the TA in an IH 884 tractor? I thought, perhaps, that some instructions might accompany the eliminator kit, but only the coupler and woodruff key. Much thanks to anyone who can steer me toward the information I desperately need!

Your local, dealer, Bates corp. J.P.Tractor salvage,Or any A&I distributor should be able to help. As well as the place you bought the kit from.

When I have taken T/As out of I-H tractors I have just fitted the 'gear' in the high side clutch pack instead of the plates and removed the sprag clutch, no alteration or modification to the hydraulics at all.

Have you done this on '84 series tractors where power to the PTO clutch and to the power steering is provided by the TA pump?

I believe that I have misunderstood the manual. It doesn't actually say that fluid power is provided to the PTO and power steering, but that malfunctions of these affect the operation of the TA. I apologize! Thanks!
