John Deere 50 bush hog

Can anyone give me some info on a John Deere 50 bush hog. I can't find anything on the net. Is it 5 ft? Would it have a stump jumper pan? Any idea of the year? Pros and cons? I did notice it has a rounded back on it close to the blades. Is this a good feature or is the square back better? It's for a Ferguson TO30 for light duty on 2 acres. Thanks, John

I found this post on another site.
I am 99% sure...that the 506 was only available in 540 however input shaft on Gear Box had either 20 - 21 splines...A Slip Clutch assembly slid on the input shaft... In a nut shell...You can not use a generic PTO shaft...without modification. A Factory shaft is probably $ 500 +.
Does any of this make sense? Sounds like a regular pro shaft might not work. Am I reading that correct? Only original can be used? Also parts may not be available so I better look it over real well. I know very little about these things, thanks for any info, John

I agree 506 was offered in 540 rpm only. Pto shafts have been known to be swapped incorrectly on equipment. The 2 gears for gearbox aren't available from JD any longer.
