Small engine Question

Does anyone know where to get the little hex nuts that thread onto a standard throttle cable? Many cast-iron Briggs equipped this way, no easy way to secure cable in bracket without them. Thanks, Fritz

As you know, and the other guys haven't figured out, an off-the-shelf standard fastener nut doesn't fit.

What you are looking for is Briggs and Stratton Part #63426 nut. There's a few around, if you GOOGLE it. It has been replaced by Briggs and Stratton Part #691027. GOOGLE will find you lots of those.

It sounds like you are looking for nuts that are thinner than a normal hex nut. They are jam nuts. They should be widely available if you know the thread size. Most good hardware stores would carry them.
