Belt length

The belt on my finish mower snapped today. I laid it out and measured 110" total length. That means the outside length is 110" right? And the inside would be shorter.

I found these guys: https://www.gprindustrial.com/en/2132-v-belts-classic-b-section/276-B107-classic-vbelt.html

$7 for a 110" belt seems astronomically cheap, but for $7 +$11 shipping, if it doesn't last I'm only out $18. Other belts I've seen are $40-50. I've never dealt with them and am not sure how they are, but their products seem fairly affordable.

They also have kevlar belts, which may be a better option for a few bucks more.

Do you know what make/model your mower is? If not, is worth a try to get the 110" El Cheapo belt and see if it works. Belts stretch over time, so if this belt is slightly longer than what should be on it, you'll know to get a shorter "kevlar" belt next time.

I don't know the brand. The only writing on the plate is all in chinese. It's a 3pt 60" finish mower. It's kubota orange, but it doesn't look a thing like any kubota mower I've ever seen.

Finish mowers are extremely tough on belts, do not waste your time on a belt that is not kevlar. You will find that not all kevlar belts are created equal either (usually the higher the price the better the belt) you may have to try few before you get the performance you need. Last resort, the manufacturer of the mower will usually know what belts work best. Good Luck.

I have had GREAT service from V Belt Global Supply LLC, http://www.vbeltsupply.com/. These folks are very helpful in how to measure etc, fast shipping and they are Kevlar belts. Phone is 888 291 5440.
