1953 FORD JUBILEE

started tractor, no time to get hot, drove 100 ft, hooked up bush hog and while idling tractor shut down, water came out from radiator but radiator is not hot, won't start back- what could be the problem?

Dune Country might be correct. They do not get filled with coolant. Fill only to cover the core tubes
to an inch. There is no expansion tank, the top of the radiator performs this task. If filled to the
neck, the coolant will squirt out and get on everything, shorting the high voltage to ground. If this
does not apply, use a chemical test kit to check for combustion gasses in the radiator. Jim

may be i will have to check when i pulled the cap the water is defiantly right up to the neck i can reach it whit my finger

with tractor cold, and the coolant visible, not plum full, as mentioned, an inch over the tubes will do, watch the coolant, if you see what looks like air bubbles, and i mean a bunch you have either a blown head gasket or a crack, if not and it starts to fill and run out a thermostat is stuck closed, [ most likely], once in a dark blue moon the water pump will fail by the shaft breaking, but that will be obvious, the fan will be wobbly, and may even be having the radiator for lunch
