Good spark with timing set correctly.Carb. Cleaned and in good condition. Fuel system clean and lots of gas to carb. Valves set to specs. Carb working when on another tractor but no fuel reaches combustion chamber when engine cranks over...plugs remain dry while gas comes back out carb. Inlet. New manifold gasket, Compression seems enough but maybe not.....75....85....75....85 without oil and about 5 lbs. higher with oil in cylinders. Any help with this will be much appreciated.. tks..Frank

You need to state what your working on so we can help you help your self. Say i is a 1935 JD-B all fuel well those compression numbers would be fine. But if it was a Ford 9N those numbers are way to low for it to run well if at all.
That said try these things.
#1 check that the spark is in fact a nice blue/white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more at all the plug wires
#2 that you have a good stead gas flow out of the carb drain plug that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes. You can have gas flow to the carb but if it is not gettign into the carb then the engine will not get gas.
If you have those then try putting your hand over the air intake of the carb and try to start it. You should get gas on your hand and also get your hand covered with gas.

Massey Harris 22 original continental engine....tons of fuel getting to the carb. Just runs out the intake when choked but no fuel getting to combustion chamber. All plugs dry as a bone.

You could have manifold problems. Place your hand over the air intake on the carb and crank it over. See if you have suction.

Well do as I say and hold your hand over the air intake of the carb and make sure you get a good strong suction. Low or no suction says manifold leak or real low compression
