I like to make my own cables. My local NAPA usually has heavy cable, crimp/solder lugs, and the good solder type terminals. I really hate those clamp type terminals. unc

I take it you got the cable? Yes the implement dealer should have ends and the tool to crimp them on. Be sure to put the heat shrink tube on before crimping the ends on!

OTR truck dealer. Here they buy sealed size 31, ( a 27 trolling motor battery size) with ⅜" studs, 960 CCA by the pallet. Result you get a good diesel cold weather cranking battery for a great price. I paid $60 for my last one but that was "a few" years ago. They have 0 and 00 bulk cable, copper lugs and the crimper.

Yep same here. Got mine at NAPA and soldered them together, also put the shrink wrap on them. Works a whole lot better than the bolted ones.
