Have seen several up here over the years. Some have been for sale, others were in use. Sure never expected to see one in that kind of predicament!

I saw the first picture and thought "I'm glad the booms were not extended." My buddy used to have one with 75 feet booms on it. Needless to say he sprayed liquid fertilizer.

Can't see in the pics whether that wheel went into a sink hole or the rear axle housing broke. Glad I don't have to figure out how to jack that thing if is a broken axle.

Looks like it fell in a hole. That's quite scary! Doesn't look muddy at all. How many of our fields may have holes that could open at any time? Very scary!

The other site they said the front pivot got bent, and perhaps the driver was watching a rate monitor and forgot to watch for the sinkhole he had seen a round earlier?

Oy.

I bet that got the guys attention if he was texting while spreading!. I've got a funny feeling with how wet last year was here in Manitoba, right up to snow fall and how wet it is now after record snow. There's gonna be so many Rogators / Terra gators and other brands stuck in pictures online, Guys are gonna think Pioneer or the coop are doing trials planting them to see how well they grow L.O.L

Could be a hidden tile hole. When I was in the tiling business, the landowner/operator and I went to look at a tile problem he had in his field. He said don't get too close so we parked about 50 ft. away. Just as we were getting out of the truck, the front of the truck drops down in a hole to the frame. Front wheels were just hanging there. Had to walk about 1 1/2 miles to get back to the farm and get a tractor. This was in the days before cell phones. Ended up digging with the excavator about 1/4 mile of tile that had washed out under the top of the ground, but there was only one hole showing. Surprised him and me both. This was a 15" tile that had gone bad. We replaced the whole tile across his farm, about 4800 ft'. Had to take the dozer out to scrape up enough dirt to fill the trench. That was an expensive tile repair. Never forget that day, wish I had pictures.

Ouch, that stinks. Pun intended.
Glad I don't have to dig it out.
BTW drove I-81 up the valley the other day and it smelled like chicken litter most of the way. Be glad when it clears up.

I have done that, and I would venture to guess anyone that has run a commercial applicator has done something similar! Its a rude awakening when you come to an abrupt halt.
