Unusual aftermarket front end

We got this front end from a friend who had picked it up at auction. It's mounted on a John Deere b currently but looks like it could be put on a farmall using a different rear bracket. Does anyone know who made it its unusual because it steers backwards of normal. We think it's factory made because dad talked to another farmer who said his dad had one years ago but he didn't know much about it. Anyone know about these front ends?

That does not mount like any of the factory built conversions did so yes homemade. The factory made units fastened to the pedistal of the orignal front end.

If it steers backassward, it has to be homemade. And not well designed.
No factory kit would steer backwards.

I seen something similar to that on a Moline U years ago at a farm sale. A fellow said it was made locally by a machine shop here in town. Seems he made several of them.

I doubt anyone would sell a kit that made the tractor steer backwards, although maybe someone installed the kit backwards. A tractor that steered backwards would be more dangerous than one with a narrow front!

This Oliver 70's for sale near here. This is an odd one for sure. Appears to be aftermarket.
