I must be getting younger, didn't fall this past winter, once the year before and three times in three days the year before that. Third time was in the west bound lane of high way in front of mail box, dam ice, that hurt.

Couple weeks ago I fell hard on my knee on the concrete in the barn. I'm often pretty good at falling, go down gentle. Not this time, felt like my kneecap spun around, tears in my eyes, I just lay there a minute or two and plotted how I was gonna crawl back to the house and how rough spring would be on crutches..... Was able to get up in a bit, and dang if it wasn't all that bad. Swelled up, was scuffed, and hurt like a very bad bruise for a week, but the bones were fine could put weight on it fine.

Otherwise I try to laugh at myself when I topple over.

My last bad fall resulted in two torn legiments in my left shoulder over a year ago. It is slowly healing, doc wanted to do surgery but when he told my movement wouldn't improve and I would be off work for three months. I said what's the point. He said it would heal fine on its own just take longer. I never went back. I am getting older.

Saw a T-shirt once that said "I don't have a drinking problem. I drink, I get drunk, I fall down. No problem!" I know, you've all heard that one before! Shucks,I lived it for a while about 40-42 years ago. Not proud of it, but I never got a DUI, so I guess the man upstairs was looking out for me.
