made from recycled papers, 6 cents a bag at local grocery store, clean to use, one bag per cage, about 95% efficient at deterring weeds, good moisture control, shades roots, lasts all season and then remains easily tilled into soil. ole well, only 35 more to go.

Dont forget to wrap some newspaper around the stems too.

Oops, meant for tractor tales. ole well, at least i used the tractor to prepare the soil. Newpaper on stem is good idea but cut worms have not been a problem.

Ahhhh then you are lucky. Many years ago they took out every plant my mom had hand raised from seed. Boy was she ever peoded. Went to market and bought replacements and added the newspaper. You got it, they were the wrong plants. Nothing but plain tomatoes and no plumb type. Not a happy gardener.
