Does a Case/Int 1594 have capabilities of 1000 rpm pto?

According to the parts catalog, a 540/1000 PTO was the only one offered (I thought it might be an option), and Tractordata concurs.

Looks like the shaft is reversible with 4 bolts to make the switch.

How do you change the speed?

Remove 4 bolts, flip shaft 180?, then put bolts in opposite 4 holes. (Large or small bolt circle, depending upon speed choice.)

sounds like even a dumby like me could handle that, thanks a lot, I was going to try to convert a discbine to 540
