64 ford 4000 diesel fuel in crankcase oil

i am getting fuel in oil, i took off valve cover and checked bleeder line, looked ok. i know sometimes this can happen through injection pump also. have a roosa master pump. any info on this would be great. thanks
 
That pump has shaft seals inside of it. If they leak or fail. You will get fuel in the oil. If it has a engine driven supply pump. It could also be
leaking fuel.
 
I think this is one of the Fords with the fuel return lines inside the valve cover? If it is I would remove the valve cover and
check the lines for leaks.

I had a neighbor that had a 58 801D. he took the pump off and had it rebuilt for the same problem. Pump rebuild didn't fix the
problem. he took the pump off twice and took it back to the diesel shop before he found out his problem was the return line inside
the valve cover.
 
If the engine speed is erratic, parts of the injection pump breaking apart inside will damage the shaft seals, causing fuel leaks into the oil. Once pump is repaired, if leak still occurs then injector leaks under the valve cover are suspect. I've had to replace some pump pilot tubes due to wear also if worn badly where the seals make contact.

i looked at bleeder line under valve cover, it looks ok, are the pilot tubes inside injector pump?
 
i took off tank return line fitting and found it was mostly blocked with sludge, my question, if the return line was blocked could that build up pressure in injector pump and cause fuel past seals into oil. Thanks
