Neighbors had retirement sale today of some very sharp well cared for machinery. Prices were 1560 or 1590 15ft Deere notill drill $47,000,Great plains vertical till about 22or 24 ft $31,000,Deere 1750 six row planter no fertilizer $16,000,NH 218 and 216 skid loaders $19,000 and $16,000,Deere 6430 fwd $43,000,7230 2wd $52,000, 7930 duals and fwd $109,000 and Deere 9500 combine $42,500. Everything was always shedded and well maintained. You would never guess this machinery was from a 200 cow dairy farm. Tom

Good equipment will always bring very good money selling at the farm that was "home". I know we make general assumptions about farmers. Usually dairy farmers are some of the hardest users of farm equipment but some take very good care of theirs. Just by the same token not all grain farmers take good care of their equipment even thought it is perceived that they do.

Thank You for the auction prices. It is always interesting to get real time information.

Must have obviously been well cared for. I thought the drill and the combine were both good prices- for the sellers!

It seems like a lot of stuff, especially livestock stuff, has not moved well in the past few months. Seems like stuff like feed grinders, forage boxes etc has very little market lately.

The equipment is junk on most farm auctions because the farmer is too old or too broke to maintain it. He keeps going until he runs out of tractors to do the work, then has an auction.

Very rare you see a farm auction with good equipment like that. Usually that stuff goes back to the dealer.
