I'm looking for a modern 30 hp tractor with a loader and to put a brush mower on the back..It will be used to maintain my parents farms..They have bigger tractors for heavy chores..I'm looking at John Deere or Kubota looking for input..

You might look at New Holland. They have some nice tractors in that range. Depends on how close a dealer is to you

cant really go wrong with either, but if you want new, get a tractorhouse magazine, there is a kubota dealer north of Dallas Texas, that offers a new tractor you choose hp, 30,35 or 40, comes with a loader, brush hog, boxblade, and the trailer its all sitting on for 24 to 28 grand, depending on the hp you choose, everything is new

Up at our family farm we have a Kubota 3130 - it's probably pushing ten years old, so it's pre-emissions. It's got a loader and a 6' bush hog on it. We've had a couple bearings go bad in the front hubs, but other than that it's been a great little tractor.

Hard to go wrong either way. Love my Kubota B2650. I do hear consistently unfortunate things about the Tier 4 emissions system on the B3350 tho. Just that one model for some reason.

So far as older tractors are concerned I bleed Blue. For modern you can't beat Kubota's resale value. They cost almost nothing to own. Buy it. Use it for 15 years. Trade it in and they allow you 90% of what you paid.

We have a jd and kubota. Be sure and get at least one hyd outlet at the rear for a woodspliter or hyd toplink even to run a grapple on the bucket for brush.

Eric you do not have to go to TEXAS to find the package deal ....(No Deal) most any KUBOTA dealer that has been around any time has those package deals' That is for a dummy customer that does not want to or know how to shop. You can call dealers and compare tractor prices but when you throw in the packages things like the trailer, how good or chap a cutter and blade. Makes it where the customer can not compare and more than likely pays too much.

I have a JD 5210 and it has been bullet proof for me. It is a little larger in that it is a 47 PTO horsepower tractor but it is the littlest thing I own other than a lawn mower. LOL It is much more tractor than a compact tractor would be for less money.

We have a 2001 JD 4600, 950 hours, 12-12 power reverser, loader, 37 pto hp. Zero problems, use a 6 foot Bush Hog on it, a little short on power occasionally, but it has some really low gears, so I just go slower, and have fewer problems that way.
