I use this F350 for service calls and hauling tractors. A problem with the radio. When I get in the driver's seat, start the engine, the radio is on, but no sound. When I turn the radio off and on I hear a click, display is on, but no music. If I start the truck from the passenger side, the radio comes on with sound. With the engine running, I walk around, and get in the driver's seat, the radio is still on, with sound. When I touch the brake pedal, the sound quits, the radio display is still on. Any experience or Ideas?

Ford does a lot of things with "vacuum"... When I develop a vacuum leak, the radio won't eject the CD... Fix the leak and CD ejects, kicks in 4 wd on the fly, heater puts warm air to my feet... Check to be sure you have enough vacuum.

Have a couple 2011 and 12 fords at work that has safty switches on seatbelt.....if truck is put in gear without seat belt clicked radio goes mute....may have something to do with that???

The thing that turns the radio sound off; limits how loud the radio will go; and how fast the truck will run; in a Ford is called "My Key"
Its made for parents to control teen drivers.
Get the administrator key away from your wife and you can turn all that junk off.
