Any other producers ship frozen meat to customers?

I was asked by my Brother-In-Law about the possibility of shipping a quarter of beef to him. We are in SW Lower Michigan, he is outside of San Antonio, TX. (I won't get into his trouble finding good freezer beef down there.)

I asked the slaughter house/butcher shop we use, and he related some less-than-effective stories to me. He buys buffalo halves shipped to MI from South Dakota, but with special boxes and such he pays $0.65 per pound shipping. I always give the immediate family a good deal, but this would push that price up pretty quick.

Just wondered if any of you producers had already solved this issue.

Here at the casino we get some stuff now and then on special orders.
Very heavy duty thick walled Styrofoam with dry ice. The stuff is
like 11/2 inches thick. As crazy special that would be, go stop at
your local Fastenall and see if they could expedite it. Your kinda
half way between mail and trucking?
